If I’m absolutely honest – I’ve worked in the business and finance world for over 25 years, and I don’t think it’s ever been easier for business owners to run their own businesses, than it is right now!
When I started out, it was all typed letters, handwritten ledgers & calculators, overnight stays away for meetings & training. Now everything can be done online, from sending emails, to bookkeeping, as well as marketing and training. Everything you need to successfully run your business is there at the touch of a button (or a few buttons).
You don’t need a degree in business to setup and run your own business. You just need a product or service you believe in and a helping hand from someone who knows how to setup and run a successful business.
As a business owner myself, I know it’s easy to stick your head in the sand when it comes to the parts of your business that feel tough (for me, that’s writing this website copy right now – I’m a numbers and detail person, not a words person!).
And much as I loved my corporate finance career, I love working with other business owners. I get such a buzz when my clients realise “oh yeah…I CAN do this!”. When they start to build their business, it genuinely feels easy because they’ve got everything sorted.
